Discharge Screen Printing

Water Based Screen printing is another branch of screen printing/ Water based printing uses water based inks, these pigments penetrate the fabric more than the plastisol inks and create a much softer feel. Ideal for printing darker inks onto lighter colored garments. Also useful for larger area prints where texture is important. Some inks require heat or an added catalyst to make the print permanent. It keeps the shirt breathable and soft to the touch. 

Water based ink and discharge ink go hand in hand. The ink penetrates the shirt vertically bleaching the garment and re-dying the ink. As pictured above, the ink is on in the shirt not sitting on top of the shirt. The print stays as soft as the shirt, not to mention that the ink lasts a bit longer than the standard plastisol screen printing.
